More on the show...

Below are some of the stands and exhibits you'll be able experience at the show...

Racing Green

Both parents and children can burn off all that extra energy on Racing Green, the world’s first pedal-powered racetrack – and learn about alternatives to fossil fuels at the same time. Hooked up to exercise bikes, the giant six-lane track runs on man power alone, so the harder the adults pedal, the faster their child’s remote-controlled car goes. The winner can enjoy their moment of glory on a Formula 1 replica podium – a perfect photo opportunity.Kids enjoying the Racing Green pedal powered racetrack

• On many of our re-surfacing schemes, including the A1 and the M60 we recycle the old road surface and incorporate it into the new surface to reduce the number of lorry trips required?
• We have built ‘bat bridges’ on the A38 at nearby Dobwalls to help bats use their sonar to navigate past our new road scheme? Find out more at www.highways.gov.uk

Mobilise! and Sustrans

Meet Mobilise! and Sustrans at the car show

We encourage people of all ages in Cornwall to be more active, more often, through cycling and walking. So why are we at a car show? Well, it’s a green car show and in remote and rural Cornwall a car can be a useful bike transporter. Then, it’s easy to explore beautiful byways and trails and get fit at the same time. Why not even try driving a part of the way to work, parking up and cycling the rest? Where there’s a will there’s a greener and fitter way. Mobilise! also runs weekly guided walks and rides, which take place in some stunning locations across Cornwall and re-introduce people to the idea of regular exercise.
